Holy Week Story Stones
Holy Week Story Stones
Being creative in the week before Easter
Holy week is always an intensive time. In one week, we read, reflect, and remember how Jesus went through his worst time in the knowledge that Eastern will bring the best forever.
You will have specific family traditions for the Holy Week. Those traditions are important resources for making the time meaningful and unique for us at home, especially in a time of restriction because of Coronavirus. Another recommendation is to be creative.
Holy Week Story Stones is a way how I could be creative and devotional as an individual. The idea is to draw a symbol or to write a keyword on a stone for every day according to the Holy week bible reading.

Palm Sunday
Triumphal entry into Jerusalem Mt 21: 1-11 (Mark 11:1-10; Luke 19:28-44; John 12:12-18).

Holy Monday
Cleans the temple Mt 21:12-13 (Mark 11:15-17; Luke 19:45-46). On the stone: It’s a broken table and a pigeon.
How to get started
What you need if you like paint own Holy week story stones:
- Stones from the garden or a walk (in physical distance to other people).
- Pens (I used Gel pens, India ink pens, and water-resistant pens) or paint.
I recommend that you clean the stones with soap, that not the dirt, sand, or earth on the stones are damaging your pens.
