Our History

The history of the All Souls Protestant Church

Our community is the result of years of prayer and discussion among the leaders of the Evangelical-Reformed Church of canton St. Gallen, who felt the need for an outreach within the cantonal Church to English-speaking expats. In the summer of 2015, the Rev. Dr. Scotty J. Williams and a group of charter Elders (Heinz Fäh, Regula Hermann, Markus Anker, Vicki Gabathuler, Karl Hermann Mehlau, Remi Tobler, and Andreas Hausanmann) were commissioned by the cantonal Church to plant an English congregation in the city of St. Gallen.

Since our first service on March 27th (Easter Sunday) of 2016, All Souls Protestant Church has become and is becoming more than just the outreach our leaders envisioned years ago. It has become a spiritual home where people of all walks of life, including non-English speakers, can experience God’s grace together in worship and fellowship.

All Souls Protestant Church therefor is not a local, but a regional community. We are firmly embedded in swiss and international church networks, cooperating with churches in several swiss cantons.
