«Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.»

Psalm 136:1

“I think I can almost hear the anthem of praise unto Him Who has loved us, and given Himself for us. To Him be glory and praise forever and forever. Glory! Glory!”

– Amanda Berry Smith

In addition to finding comfort in the Lord times of sorrow, His love should bring us offer Him praises. Look upon the picture above and think about God’s love for two or three minutes, then pray:

O God, Whose love bring the weary heart rest, I thank Your love also brings the heart to songs of praise, and in this moment I say with joy some of the ways that it is shown to me. Your love is shown with with the waking breath I take each morning. Your love is shown to me in the people I know and cherish. Your love is shown to me in the food and drink that I enjoy. Your love is shown to me in the challenges that come my way. And Your love is shown to me through the works of Jesus Christ Your Son, Whose cross echos from the past with grace to carry me today. All these things and more remind me of Your tender care, and they bring my heart to sing to with praise, “For Your steadfast love endure forever!” Amen.
