«My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to Your Word!»

Psalm 119:28

Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.

– Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Heavenly Father, the atmosphere of this time is filled with anxiety, and each day it burdens hearts and brings many to live with fear. Lord, as I face the anxieties of today, guard me by Your grace that I might not lose the strengths of today. And as You guard me, use me to guard others; may my words and actions radiate with Your grace and help the anxious to keep their strength for today. Through Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
